Brightsmith is supporting an international renewable energy company to hire a Senior Engineering Manager in Italy. The company develops and operates wind, solar, energy storage and power-to-X projects across Europe and is now growing its presence in the Italian market.

This role offers the opportunity to take a leading position in the technical development of renewable energy projects in Italy — working within a collaborative, fast-growing environment that combines local knowledge with strong international expertise.

• Act as the
main technical point of contact
for renewable energy projects in Italy


• Involvement across the full lifecycle – from site screening and feasibility to ready-to-build


• Work on both Wind and solar PV projects,
with a strong focus on wind


• Collaborate with internal competence centres across Europe and external consultants


• Join a small, entrepreneurial team where flexibility and initiative are valued

Key Responsibilities


• Support origination and development teams with site and constraints analysis


• Prepare and optimise project layouts and energy yield assessments


• Coordinate technical input from internal experts and external consultants


• Manage met campaigns and contribute to
grid connection
strategy and design


•
Manage GIS analyst
and review geospatial data for project feasibility


• Provide technical support through permitting and up to construction handover


• Ensure compliance with technical, environmental and safety standards


• Contribute to general project management activities within a small team

Who We Are Looking For


• Minimum 5 years' experience in renewable energy project engineering (wind and/or solar PV)


• Background in mechanical, electrical or renewable energy engineering


• Proven experience across the
project lifecycle from feasibility to ready-to-build


• Familiarity with layout design, yield analysis and grid connection processes


• Comfortable coordinating consultants and working with internal technical centres


• Experience in small or medium-sized developers preferred


• Hands-on, adaptable, and able to manage varied tasks in a small team environment


• Fluent in Italian and Good levels of English for international internal communications


• Based in Milan with limited travel within Italy
