Hardware Engineer – Power Electronics and Microwave Design

Brain Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer specialized in power electronics and microwave design to join an advanced engineering team in Rome. The selected candidate will contribute to the development of high-reliability electronic systems for demanding environments, combining expertise in RF design, power conversion, and thermal management.

Key Responsibilities:


• Design and simulate power and microwave circuits for mission-critical systems


• Develop schematics, perform component selection, and guide PCB layout optimization


• Conduct analysis on signal integrity, thermal behavior, and EMC compliance


• Support hardware integration, debugging, and validation phases


• Collaborate with mechanical, system, and test engineers in multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:


• MSc/BSc in Electronics or Electrical Engineering


• 3+ years of experience in power or RF/microwave hardware design


• Strong knowledge of SPICE, ADS, Altium, or similar EDA tools


• Understanding of DC/DC converters, amplifiers, filters, and transmission lines


• Fluent in English; Italian is a plus


• Nice to have: experience with high-reliability or defense-grade electronics, knowledge of DO-160, MIL-STD-461, or ECSS standards
