This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the private equity industry and insight into BU's investment strategy. You will work closely with experienced investment professionals and receive hands-on training, mentoring, and a steep learning curve in a dynamic, performance-driven environment.

Your Responsibilities
You will work in a fast-paced environment with flat hierarchies, a steep learning curve and high expectations. From day one, you will be a valued member of our investment team and take ownership of a variety of tasks, including:
- Identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities, conducting market and competitive analyses, and presenting your findings to the investment team
- Supporting sourcing efforts by researching promising sectors, themes, and potential target companies
- Building and analysing financial models (including LBO models) and preparing company valuations
- Contributing to due diligence processes across operational, financial, and strategic workstreams
- Preparing materials for the Investment Committee and supporting live deal execution
- Monitoring, assessing, and reporting portfolio company performance across various industries, preparing recurring and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting industry and thematic research to support investment theses and portfolio value-creation strategies
Your Profile
We are looking for ambitious, analytical, and team-oriented individuals who bring:
- An outstanding academic track record in business, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or law
- Relevant internships in investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, or venture capital
- Initial experience in financial modelling and strong proficiency in Excel; basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Motivation, curiosity, and a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset
- Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written)
- You are available for a full-time internship for six months starting in January 2026
