Within this vibrant environment, Central Functions Platforms (CFP) plays a pivotal role, managing applications for essential central functions such as Finance, Risk, Procurement, Treasury, Real Estate, Audit, and Compliance.

As a Senior Java Developer in the Central Risk & Procurement Platforms department, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the Credit Risk application, a crucial component of Allianz Group's Solvency II calculations. With a team of 250 talented professionals spread across Munich, Stuttgart, Trivandrum, Pune, Bucharest, and Bratislava, you'll collaborate with experts from around the world, driving impactful solutions and innovations.

What you do

• Develop software in agile teams and support the implementation of software engineering techniques and methods.
• Ensure the future maintainability of the systems as well as consideration of the technical & functional environment in the overall context of the development and maintenance of software.
• Responsible for maintenance and development of 4 applications (CRisP, WFM, MKMV, CORe) pertaining to the service CRLM (Credit Risk and Limit Management). These applications are primarily based on in-house developed software.
• Active support of projects (e.g. infrastructure changes, compliance with new security requirements, implementation of new software releases and business requirements).
• Assurance of application operations according to agreed SLAs.
• Incident, problem and change management incl. escalation management as 3rd Level support.
• Mentoring and guidance of developers. Close collaboration with operations team located offshore at Allianz Technology India as well as testing team at InfoSys India.
• Liaise closely with our in-house customers at Allianz SE/Group Risk

What you bring

• Java technologies: Core Java, J2EE, Java Script, Angular, JDK, Spring, Hibernate, Log4j, etc.
• Coding methods: Multithreading, PL/pgSQL
• OS: Windows, Linux
• Web technologies: Apache, Tomcat
• Data bases: MS SQL, PostgreSQL
• Experienced in using Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ,  Jira, Confluence, AI agents
• GitHub technologies: GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Advanced Security
• Cloud Services: MS Azure, AWS
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Several years of experience as business analyst
• University degree (master or equivalent), preferably in technical sciences with a focus on information Technology
