About this vacancy

The ideal candidate is a Software Engineer with a strong data focus, experience building ETL pipelines, Python applications, and managing unstructured data on modern data lakes.

Your challenges?

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to deploy models and algorithms.
  • Develop microservices and APIs for exposing and integrating data and functionality.
  • Work with unstructured data (text, logs, JSON, documents) and contribute to its transformation and indexing.
  • Support the evolution of the data architecture and the adoption of development best practices.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement (CI/CD, automated testing, code review).
What we expect from you
  • MS degree in Computer Engineering or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in SW Engineering or ETL/Data Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Python and key data manipulation packages
  • Experience developing APIs and microservices with FastAPI or alternatively Flask)
  • Familiarity with unstructured data and data lake environments (Parquet, Delta, S3, Azure Data Lake, ...)
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with data quality and data validation
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning or statistical data analysis principles
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD processes, and good development practices (testing, logging, documentation)
  • Good command of Italian and English language
  • Availability to travel and relocate for medium to long periods
