SAP Development Lead

This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of SAP solutions across the organization. The SAP Development Lead will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of SAP, supporting the company's strategic goals. 

Strategic Planning and Process Improvement: 

• Lead initiatives to streamline SAP development processes, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall business strategy. 
• Develop and implement best practices for SAP development workflows, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity. 
• Identify opportunities to optimize SAP solutions and reduce costs. 

Technology and Tools Management: 

• Manage and implement SAP development tools and technologies. 
• Oversee the integration of SAP ECC with other business systems, including cFIN, S/4, Salesforce, and other systems. 
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all integrated systems. 
• Design and implement scalable and efficient SAP architecture. 
• Expertise in the most common SAP modules, including SAP FICO, SAP MM, and SAP SD. 

Project Leadership: 

• Drive and guide technical decision-making on SAP development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement SAP development strategies. 
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes. 

Data Governance and Compliance: 

• Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure SAP development processes meet compliance standards. 

Team Leadership and Development: 

• Help create an SAP development center of excellence. 
• Mentor and guide a team of SAP developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 
• Coordinate training programs for team members and other stakeholders to enhance SAP development capabilities. 

• Proven experience in managing large-scale SAP development projects and working with complex SAP environments. 
• Demonstrated experience with SAP development and configuration task estimation. 
• Extensive experience with SAP ECC and cFIN and designing scalable SAP solutions. 
• Demonstrated experience in leading transformational change within SAP environments. 
• Expertise in the most common SAP modules, including SAP FICO, SAP MM, and SAP SD. 
• Preferred experience with SAP S/4.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SAP development tools and technologies. 
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective SAP solutions. 
• Project Management: Excellent time management skills with a track record of delivering successful SAP development projects. 
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders. 
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. 
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific SAP development challenges and best practices. 
• These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field; combined with 7-10 years of experience in SAP development, architecture or similar role.
• Masters degree preferred.
• SAP Certified Development Specialist, SAP Certified Technology Associate certifications preferred.
