Job Description:

A leading EPC company in the renewable energy sector is seeking a
Procurement Engineer
to support
utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects
across Europe. This role requires both technical expertise and commercial acumen to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sourcing and procurement of PV equipment (modules, inverters, structures, transformers) and services (logistics, subcontractors).
  • Conduct technical and commercial evaluations and negotiations with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, finance, and legal teams to align project needs.
  • Issue purchase orders and support contract execution according to project schedules and budgets.
  • Monitor supplier performance, logistics, and delivery schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain preferred supplier lists and market intelligence across Europe.
  • Support cost optimization strategies, risk mitigation, and compliance with internal policies and ESG standards.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years' experience in procurement or supply chain within EPC or renewable energy projects, with at least 2 years in PV or utility-scale solar projects.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of PV system components and procurement/ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, Procore); advanced Excel skills.

Desirable / Plus:

  • Familiarity with
    FIDIC contracts, Incoterms
    , and international logistics.
  • Exposure to procurement in utility-scale PV projects across Europe.
  • Master's degree or certifications in procurement/project management (e.g., CIPS, PMP) are a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge in
    Project Management Office (PMO)
    practices or project coordination.
