To support our ambitious growth and expansion plans, we are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a
Accountant
in
Genoa
Italy.

In this role, you will be entrusted with the following
responsibilities
:

  • Ensure compliance with all HQ policies, company standards, local laws, governmental regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile accounts to report variances or deviations.
  • Review shipment job costing and reporting for deviations
  • Prepare periodic financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and statutory filings (e.g., VAT, WHT, etc.) required by local authorities.
  • Responsible for the month-end closing process and reporting to HQ.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely registration and reconciliation of all business transactions.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with Italian GAAP.
  • Manage accounts receivable collection and accounts payable payment.
  • Compute taxes and liaise with external parties including banks, customers, vendors, and tax authorities.
  • Assist management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.

The ideal candidate would bring the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in finance, controlling or accounting field.
  • In-depth understanding of financial statements interrelationships as well as extensive hands-on experience in the preparation and analysis of financial reports.
  • Sound experience with local GAAP.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • A flair for working with numbers, combined with the necessary precision and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • English professional working proficiency.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
