Established in 2002, ib vogt GmbH is specialized in the Development, Design and Engineering, Financing, EPC and Operation of solar power and provides turnkey solar power plant solutions to investors internationally.
As a manufacturer-independent integrated developer, the company focuses on tailor-made solar power plant solutions that maximize lifecycle performance and returns.
Since 2009, ib vogt has commissioned plants with a capacity of almost 2 Gigawatt. We employ over 840 specialists, in all areas of the solar power plant value chain in over 40 countries. The company operates internationally from offices in Spain Germany, Italy, Netherlands, France, Poland, USA, Australia, United Kingdom, Panama, India and South East Asia.
Job Description
The financial analyst will be responsible for ib vogt's Italian market financial modelling requirements, under the supervision of the Lead Analyst.
Key Tasks
- Build sophisticated financial models for photovoltaic, wind, BESS, and hybrid projects in the Italian market
- Collaborate with the development team to optimize the project definition
- Own the regular reporting of the Italian pipeline valuation
- Analyse energy offtake structures and make recommendations on the most adequate option for specific projects
- Assess electricity market trends and their impact on expected profitability at project / portfolio level
- Support the broader team in the negotiation and execution of sale processes
- Ad hoc modelling support in other European markets where required
- Collaboration with internal teams to inform on model outputs
Qualifications
- Degree in economics, finance, mathematics, industrial engineering, or a similar field. MBA or Masters is a plus
- 2-4 years of experience in similar role
- Previous experience in renewable energy and/or Data Centre financial modelling is a plus
- Knowledge of electricity market/regulations and financing infrastructures advantageous
- Strong cash flow modelling capabilities required
- Excellent MS Office Excel command
- Macro-programming skills (Visual Basic) is a plus
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Analytical skills, structural thinking, willingness to learn
- Fluency in English and Italian are required
- Other European languages are a plus
