We are seeking a
motivated researcher or data scientist
to join an interdisciplinary project focused on improving
data quality and AI-driven analytics
in the context of healthcare . The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of advanced methodologies for data assessment, anomaly detection, AI, and agentic AI research.

Project Overview

The research project involves the following key activities:

  • Preliminary analysis and familiarization
    with the neonatal screening dataset.
  • Review of the state of the art
    in data quality methodologies, anomaly detection, outlier detection, and preprocessing.
  • Design of a scalable data analysis architecture
    , ensuring reproducible and interpretable results.
  • Development of a data quality assessment solution
    to evaluate and monitor dataset integrity.
  • Implementation of AI, Generative AI, agentic AI models
    for data interpolation and mitigation of missing or inconsistent records, following a
    Human-in-the-Loop approach
    .
  • Creation of a web-based dashboard
    to visualize data summaries, highlight data quality issues, and support operator decision-making.
  • Validation of algorithms
    according to
    Trustworthy AI
    principles (transparency, robustness, accountability).

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants
must meet all
of the following requirements:

  • Italian or EU citizenship (other cases may be considered based on specific circumstances).
  • Master's degree in one of the following fields: Computer Engineering (LM-32), Electronic Engineering (LM-29), Bioengineering (LM-21), Mathematical Engineering (LM-44), Computer Science (LM-18), Mathematics (LM-40), Physics (LM-17)
  • Under
    36 years of age
    .

Required Skills

  • Strong programming skills in
    Python
    for data analysis and AI model development.
  • Solid understanding of
    machine learning
    and
    artificial intelligence
    techniques.
  • Experience in developing
    web dashboards
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a multidisciplinary research team.
