Summary
Job Description
Relationship Manager focused on all Ares strategies (Credit, Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Secondaries), covering all institutional investor types including pension funds, insurance companies, endowments/foundations, single family offices, and consultants.
The candidate will manage key investor relationships in Italy & Monaco.
Primary Functions & Essential Responsibilities
- Contribute to and shape a marketing strategy specific to product and investor type.
- Actively and continuously map the target market and identify opportunities.
- Maintain a continuous dialogue with the book of clients to understand their objectives and needs, and position the appropriate strategy or product.
- Manage and deepen existing, and build new long-term business relationships with key decision makers using a consultative sales approach.
- Cultivate business relationships with the wider community to stay informed on market, industry, peer group, regulatory and product trends.
- Promote and enhance Ares' profile through industry events and conferences.
- Interact continuously with internal Ares stakeholders to stay on top of market trends, developments, and fund performance while providing feedback on client sentiment and behaviour.
- Contribute to Ares' product development by providing feedback to internal teams on investor demand.
- Articulate Ares' investment processes, strategies, and platform in a concise and fluid manner
Education/Certification
- Advanced degree or equivalent preferred
Required Knowledge
- Fluent in Italian & English. French would be a plus.
- Previous role in sales for Asset Management / Alternative Investments firm
- Knowledge of alternative investment products such as Real Estate, Credit, Infrastructure, and / or Private Equity is preferred
- Network of professional contacts in the institutional investment community and a track record of navigating in the relevant institutional segments
- Ability to travel
Experience Required
- 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated track record of achieving objectives
Skills/Abilities
- Seasoned professional with high energy, enthusiasm and drive
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
