BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Under the general supervision and guidance of the Head of Digital, the Digital Project Manager will lead the strategy and user Experience (UX) of the public-facing websites of the Organization, and Freerice. This role is instrumental in developing and realising the vision to position and scale WFP digital platforms impact and outreach. The incumbent will also be central in ensuring that the Digital team builds the long-term capability through which it can deliver outstanding digital learning experiences, for years to come.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the website team; establish priorities and work plans, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure appropriate skills and capabilities development and enable high performance and motivation.

• Deliver and execute a web strategy and planning for that ensures smooth running of the platforms aligning to the COM's priorities and meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

• Lead on the User Experience (UX) of the multilingual platform using extensive knowledge of web design standards and trends and Human Computer Interaction (HCI) principles.

• Manage designers and front-end developers to ensure that all websites adhere to WFP's brand position, visual identity guidelines, and best practices.

• Plan and execute research and data analysis to gather platform's requirements and understand user needs.

• Coordinate with cross-functional team members on key events involving the platform to ensure the launch is successful and work is delivered on time.

• Communicate product vision and manage stakeholders and keep them up to date on important activities and progress.

• Create and maintain a website governance framework to provide a set of policies and procedures for managing all aspects of the website.

• Create and refine product roadmap with Tech Lead, balancing business and user needs, breaking down initiatives into tasks, planning timelines, allocating resources.

• Oversee the execution of development plans coordinating with designers, front-end and back-end developers and validate work.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University degree in Computer Science, Media Communications or related fields.
Experience:
10 years direct experience with websites management, websites redesign, user experience.
Knowledge & Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of content management systems, i.e. Drupal.

• Knowledge of how front and back-end web development work, and ability to communicate with developers and designers.

• Experience with SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, and analytics.

• Experience with user research methodologies and wireframing.

• Strong analytical and project management skills.

• Familiar with apps and web apps in both iOs and Android markets.

• Innovative, well organized and detail oriented.

• Ability to work in a team in different time zones and to switch between different projects in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and oral knowledge of English.
