Marion Scott Bridal is a luxury bridal house rooted in Italian craftsmanship, minimal romantic design, and couture-level artistry. We are seeking a highly motivated Garment Construction & Pattern Making Intern to support the development of our couture bridal collection. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about fine construction, precision, and the creation of luxury garments.

About the Role

As a Garment Construction & Pattern Making Intern, you will work directly with the Creative Director and atelier team to translate design concepts into refined patterns, toiles, and final couture garments. You will assist in technical development, fittings, and construction of pieces for photoshoots, runway presentations, and client appointments.

This internship offers a rare opportunity to gain experience inside a growing luxury bridal brand and to develop your technical mastery within a couture-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, adjusting, and finalizing patterns for couture bridal gowns, ensuring precision, fit, and adherence to the brand's aesthetic.
  • Support the construction of muslins, prototypes, and final garments using couture techniques.
  • Participate in fittings, take detailed fit notes, and execute pattern corrections accurately.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to translate design sketches into fully realized garments.
  • Assist with fabric preparation, cutting, draping, and garment finishing.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient studio environment, including managing patterns, samples, and materials.
  • Support production preparation for campaign shoots, runway presentations, and sample development.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a university or fashion education program (as this is an academic internship).
  • Background or coursework in fashion design, pattern making, or garment construction.
  • Strong technical understanding of patterns, fit, and garment assembly.
  • Basic to advanced proficiency in draping and flat pattern drafting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for fine craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • A strong interest in bridal, couture, or luxury fashion is preferred.
