For our MEININGER Hotel Venice we are looking for an Apprentice Hotel Department Supervisor

The Apprentice will be trained in all core Hotel departments: F&B, Reception, support to Back Office and will be a supportive professional and cross-departmental figure. The apprenticeship will have a length of 3 years (36 months) and a gradual and proper training program will be followed to ensure both theoretical and practical learnings in all training areas, which could be internal or external to the company.

· You are a great host ensuring your guests enjoy a safe and memorable stay

· You are in charge of the well-being of our guests from check-in to check-out

· Besides for our guests, you're also the first point of contact for all other visitors like suppliers and external technicians

· You respond to our guests' questions and inquiries and know how to direct them to major sights, local attractions and activities

· You will be preparing simple cold dishes such as cheeses, cured meats, or salads and ensuring appropriate display.

· You are responsible for setting up and closing the breakfast or dinner buffet, ensuring all products are properly labelled.

· You ensure the constant availability of a sufficient quantity and a varied selection of attractively presented food and beverages based on the number of guests.

· You take care of operational and administrative tasks like invoicing, answering e-mails and online requests, upselling, responding to online reviews and much more

· You enjoy a diverse, international work environment while we take care of an inclusive one

· You're flexible and understand working on all days of the week, sometimes early / sometimes late, during weekends and on public holidays comes with the job

· Last but not least; you're a great colleague, not afraid to jump in to support other departments every now and then

· You have a Secondary school diploma, preferably in hospitality

· You have high commitment, motivation and willing to learn new skills and duties

· You possess an outgoing personality and enjoy working in a bustling dynamic environment, performing a variety of tasks

· You are a people person and a team player, you like helping others and creating an unforgettable experience for our guests

· You have good command of MS Office, internet services, electronic booking machines

· You are fluent in English (Min. B2) and Italian (Min C1)
