operating in the Life and Investment business, which has tasked us with searching for a:
Legal/Compliance Specialist – Saving Products
The role will support the Head of Legal & Compliance in assessing regulatory compliance and managing projects related to the implementation of new laws and regulations, as well as key business activities (product, distribution, portfolio management, privacy, anti-money laundering). The position will provide internal advisory to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Main responsibilities:
- Analysis of the Italian insurance regulatory framework (in particular IVASS regulations), and updating of the control matrix;
- Drafting legal opinions and internal reports, including quarterly reports for the Board of Directors;
- Support in the compliance monitoring of distribution networks: distribution agreements, on-site inspections to assess distributors, drafting of the annual report to be submitted to IVASS, verification of fit & proper requirements and regulatory compliance of distributors;
- Analysis of distribution contracts and monitoring of compliance with contractual clauses;
- Support to Legal and Compliance activities: interactions with Authorities and with the Head Office;
- Operational management of privacy compliance in coordination with the external DPO;
- Support to the AML office in verification and compliance activities, including analysis and management of documentation related to anti-money laundering matters.
Requirements:
- 3–4 years of experience in the role, gained within Life/Investment Insurance Companies and/or within Legal & Compliance teams of consulting firms, where they acquired — also via secondment — knowledge of the Italian insurance regulatory framework and IVASS regulations;
- Knowledge of data protection matters (GDPR and the Italian Privacy Code); AML knowledge is considered a plus;
- Good command of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel;
- Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken);
- Accuracy, autonomy, strong organizational and planning skills, and goal orientation.
