Your role
We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our team to contribute to the design of our first full-scale manufacturing plant, building on the experience of our demo plant which just started operating.
You will prepare mass and energy balances, perform techno-economic analysis to identify best technologies, visit equipment suppliers, prepare process description documents, and work with an EPCM for the FEED and detailed design of our full-scale plant. You will join our growing team in Lecce, Italy, and work closely with the R&D and engineering teams in Bath, UK. You will be working autonomously, in a fast paced, unstructured environment. You enjoy the flow of challenges in our day-to-day activities, capable of finding a reward in an accelerating list of priorities, working shoulder to shoulder in a rapidly expanding team.

Your Profile
You will have experience in:
§ Process design, including mass and energy balances, PFD, P&ID, HAZOP, techno-economic analysis, spec sheet.
§ Excellent knowledge of Excel and process simulations software (e.g. Aspen plus). Proficiency with CAD a plus.
§ Working with R&D and Engineering teams to integrate learning and novel ideas in the process design and equipment selection.
§ Analysing results, extracting insights, and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders, and writing technical reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in industry.
- Demonstrable enthusiasm for solving complex problems.
- Willingness to learn new tools and expand your skill set.
- Team player, able to communicate and work effectively with different stakeholders.
- Excited to work in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment
- Excellent communication skills with a high level of verbal and written English and Italian.
