FRI Communication Group
is an established communications agency with offices in Florence and Milan, specializing in medical-scientific communication and serving clients on both national and international markets. We are currently
seeking an experienced Medical Writer
to join our international team and contribute to global projects in the pharmaceutical and healthcare domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development:
    Develop, write, and edit high-quality scientific content (e.g. scientific articles, white papers, slide decks, educational materials) for healthcare professionals and other target audiences, ensuring accuracy and clarity in line with client briefs and industry standards.
  • Project Management:
    Manage multiple projects from concept through completion, using strong organizational and project management skills to meet deadlines and client objectives. Monitor project progress and maintain alignment with project scopes and budgets.
  • Strategic Collaboration:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams across our Florence and Milan offices – and with international partners to produce effective medical communication materials for global clients.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    Ensure all content meets the highest quality standards and is compliant with relevant regulations and guidelines. Maintain a goal-oriented approach by planning strategically and anticipating project needs. Stay up-to-date with developments in the pharmaceutical sector to inform and enrich project content.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, or a related life science field. An advanced degree (PharmD, PhD) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 years
    of experience as a medical writer or in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare communication agency or pharmaceutical company. A proven track record in medical/scientific writing is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, with the ability to quickly understand new therapeutic areas. Experience working on international projects or with global pharmaceutical clients is an advantage.
  • Communication:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to distill complex scientific information into clear, concise content for various audiences.
    Fluency in English
    (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in other languages (especially Italian) is an asset.
  • Project & Team Skills:
    Demonstrated project management abilities – organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle priorities effectively. Proactive and goal-oriented mindset with strong strategic planning capability.
  • Collaboration:
    A collaborative team player with a positive attitude. Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.

Contract:

Contract type and compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and competencies.
