Mogliano Veneto, Italy - Hybrid work (20% remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Specialist with proven experience in EU health and safety regulations and a solid understanding of OSHA standards. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment across our operations. You will be a partner with both local teams and global stakeholders to implement policies, monitor risks, and drive a culture of safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with EU health and safety legislation (including directives and country-specific laws) and incorporate OSHA best practices where applicable.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses.
  • Deliver health and safety training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and management teams to embed safety into daily activities.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on changes in EU and international regulations to ensure compliance and proactive risk management.
  • 5-10% travel required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or medical device industries.
  • Strong knowledge of EU Health & Safety directives; familiarity with OSHA regulations is highly desirable.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and training facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple geographies.
