Lead Generative AI Specialist

The Lead Generative AI Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance generative AI models and implement intelligent, AI-driven techniques within a commercial tech and consultancy development setting. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the creation and deployment of cutting-edge Generative AI models. You will also engage in operational research and forge partnerships with leading research centers to drive innovations in generative AI technology. Your responsibilities will include leading technical discussions, mentoring team members, and ensuring that the latest advancements in AI are integrated into the organization's projects, thus setting a new benchmark for AI-driven solutions in the industry.

This role will have generative AI knowledge, drive cutting-edge research, enhancing existing AI systems, implementing generative techniques that push the boundaries of what is possible.

As a Generative AI Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing of generative AI models, including but not limited to agentic AI, LLMs, VLMs, GANs and Multimodal LLMs.
• Conducting and driving forward innovative research in the field of generative AI, leading the team in exploring new methodologies and technologies.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new generative models into existing AI systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimizing performance.
• Developing and testing software components according to customer and technical requirements.
• Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations on the impact of generative AI initiatives on the business, and contribute to technology roadmap.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Master or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with a specialization in generative models.
• Have proven experience in the development and deployment of generative AI models.
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across different disciplines.
• Have proven experience in software programming languages, with a focus on Python, including AI libraries eg PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformer architecture.
• Demonstrated skill in the use of one or more analytic software tools or languages (e.g., SAS, Python)
• Demonstrated skill at function in a team setting
• Demonstrated awareness of critical thinking and problem solving methods
