We are currently looking for a
Controlling Intern
to join our Finance Department.

The Controlling Intern will be working within the
Budget & Controls Team
, supporting the colleagues both for budget and monthly closure activities. The intern will cooperate to prepare the annual budget, comparing it to actual results and reporting on variance, and to drive expenses to meet the annual BP or realize savings when requested.

She/he will help colleagues on monitoring new strategic projects and agreed extra spending and support the team in the monthly expenses report refund process. In addition she/he will participate in monthly reporting activities such as FI-CO reconciliation.

Main Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Ensure accurate analysis of monthly and quarterly budget consumption, investigating variances against the plan by analyzing RFA (request for approval) and reporting significant variances.
• Evaluate, revise and update rolling forecasts coming from other Company's departments.
• Advice on savings, when spending budget must be reduced
• Reconcile analytical and management accounting.
• Support Budget in charge person in the assigned Departments for Workflow functionalities and maintain the ERP.
• Maintain roles and permissions in Sap for budget purposes.
• Maintain budget files to work with.
• Support the monthly reporting process.
• Support the CO-FI reconciliation.
• Monitor travel expenses monthly consumption by reporting significant variances compared to BP.
• Support the team in the implementation and rollout of SAP Concur for expense management

Your Talents:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
• Strong command of MS Office tools, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and listening skills
• Analytical attitude
• Proactivity
• Flexibility
• Experience with financial reporting tools is an advantage; knowledge of SAP is considered a plus
