The Role

Senior Facultative Reinsurance Broker

 

WTW is expanding its Facultative Reinsurance operations in Italy and is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Facultative Reinsurance Broker to join our growing team. This role is a key part of our reinsurance strategy and offers the opportunity to lead facultative placements, drive business development, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class solutions.

You will be responsible for assessing complex risks, structuring facultative reinsurance solutions, and negotiating favorable terms with reinsurers. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and global organization, with significant exposure to local and international markets.

Based in Milan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and assess risk transfer needs to design tailored facultative reinsurance solutions for WTW clients and cedants.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of facultative reinsurance business, including both 1st and 3rd party placements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with cedants, reinsurers, and other key stakeholders in the Italian insurance market.
  • Promote the use of facultative reinsurance across WTW business lines as part of a comprehensive market strategy.
  • Negotiate reinsurance terms and conditions to ensure optimal coverage and pricing.
  • Coordinate and prepare detailed placement submissions based on client requirements.
  • Oversee administrative aspects of facultative placements, including documentation and compliance.
  • Provide support on claims-related matters involving facultative reinsurance.
  • Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to inform broking strategy.
