The Specialist Pre-Sales Engineer helps identify Cyber Security Solutions solutions that will ultimately lead to the improvement of your clients' security and/or Risk & Governance posture. In order to achieve this, you will be partnering with the sales team and will be working with the most strategic clients within the UK and Ireland. With the ability to liaise at C- Level, you'll evangelize our portfolio and help to move the business forward with a consultative approach to the sales process. With a good technical focus, you will provide the insight necessary for the customer to understand how we can solve their security problems.
This is an end user focused role, where as a dedicated presales Engineer you will need to build relationships with your clients at C Level. Therefore interpersonal skills are also highly looked after and are critical to the success of the UK&I team.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver technical briefings, presentations, and demonstrations around SOC and CSS technology
- Organise the delivery of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) in the security technology, via a local Product Specialist whilst leading your client's success criteria.
- Gain Technical closure from the customer that products meet the client's requirements and assist the sales in technical qualification and management of the opportunities throughout the technical sales cycle, using multi-functional teams where applicable.
- Enthusiastically seek out new sales opportunities by developing new and existing technical relationships within accounts that you have been involved with and seeking to carry out security assessments.
- Articulate and demonstrate Symantec solutions, and position products relative to competition.
- Write technical white papers and being responsible for the technical response to RFI/RFP.
- Acts as a Symantec product advocate
- Be the customer's go-to person and trusted adviser for technical queries and handle customer concerns in an appropriate manner.
What we're looking for:
- Real passion for Cyber Security is important
- Experaince of Managed Security Services (MSS), Deepsight threat intelligence feeds, and Incident Response Cyber Security Services (CSS)
- Previous experience working with network security; Proxy Security, Firewalls, IDS, IPS, Web Gateways, etc.
- Experience with Windows Active Directory, DNS, Email required
- If you've previously worked with the Symantec/Blue Coat Security portfolio, that would be helpful
- Able to clearly articulate and present the value proposition of all Symantec's solutions to your clients. Previous experience doing so is a requirement
- The ability to map technical and commercial value to longer term business goals within your customer's environment
- Experience driving partner relationships and training partners in our solutions
- Preferred : Industry accreditations such as CISSP, ITIL, CSSK, VT
