System Engineer

We are looking for a
System Engineer
with a background in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a similar field, and
1–2 years of experience in the Automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities

• Leading the development and implementation of advanced Connectivity System features/functions;
• Ensuring that the function is aligned with the overall business strategy and goals;
• Project status reporting in internal and external meetings;
• Writing Requirements and Functional Specifications;
• Interfacing with stakeholders to discuss system architecture(s) through workshops and design meetings;
• Issue tracking and defect analysis;
• Analyzing and evaluating performance to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for changes;
• Supplier steering and coordination.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or similar;
• 1-2 year of experience in the Automotive field (Tier1/OEMs) ;
• Knowledge of Connectivity/Infotainment System Architecture including hardware, software and user interfaces;
• Knowledge of operating system concepts, such as process management, memory management, file systems and power management;
• Knowledge of automotive standard protocols, such as CAN and Ethernet;
• Knowledge of security principles and best practices for securing Linux systems;
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git;
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex systems;
• Knowledge of open-source software development and licensing;
• Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall;
• Knowledge of software programming languages, such as C, C++, Python, and Java;
• Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems;
• Knowledge of project management tools, such as Jira;
• Familiarity with GNU/Linux and Android operating systems;
• Familiarity with software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing;

Soft Skills

• Sense of integrity and responsibility;
• Take on responsibility, work independently, being able to share achievements with the team;
• Show initiative and work in a structured way;
• Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.

Workplace: Turin (TO) with availability to travel in Italy and abroad.
