This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Accounting Manager – Marketing in Latin America.
This role plays a key part in strengthening financial operations for a fast-growing, marketing-focused organization operating at scale. You will lead core accounting activities while supporting shared services that enable multiple business units to operate efficiently and compliantly. Working closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams, you will ensure accurate reporting, timely closes, and strong internal controls. The environment is fully remote, collaborative, and performance-driven, offering high visibility and ownership. This position is well suited for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys combining hands-on execution with team leadership. Your work will directly influence financial clarity, operational excellence, and informed decision-making across the business.
Accountabilities- Oversee day-to-day general ledger accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Review monthly close entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other standard accounting items.
- Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are consistently met.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and quality control across deliverables.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and perform detailed general ledger account analysis.
- Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and support consolidation activities.
- Partner with accounts receivable, billing, accounts payable, payroll, and finance teams to resolve accounting inquiries.
- Prepare and review audit schedules, support audit requests, and assist with year-end tax-related schedules.
- Support financial systems processes, including trial balance uploads and ancillary reporting packages.
- Act as backup support across shared services functions and assist with ad hoc initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years managing or leading an accounting team.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP, FASB standards, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with large ERP and accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Intacct, or similar platforms.
- Proven experience with consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed reconciliations and general ledger analysis.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English proficiency and residency within Latin America.
