The Private Bank combines Deutsche Bank's private client's business and its international business with private and commercial clients together with Wealth Management in a single division. In both the domestic German market and worldwide the Private Bank provides high-quality advice to over 20 million clients and a broad range of financial services in 19 countries – ranging from day-to-day banking services right through to advisory services for sophisticated Private Banking and Wealth Management clients.
The Deutsche Bank Graduate Programme is a comprehensive programme designed to provide you with exposure to a range of fascinating projects and ongoing professional and technical training to develop the skills you need to grow your career. Our 13-months Graduate Programme offers a unique opportunity to explore and gain hands-on experience across key functions that shape our Private Bank - to be the Nr. 1 in Germany and one of the leading banks in the world.
Through individually tailored rotations, you will gain insights into our Investment Solutions Team. Collaborations with global teams will broaden your global exposure.
What we look for:
We are looking for motivated university graduates who are enthusiastic team players with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
You will rotate across three core functions: Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM), Advisory, and Insurance, gaining hands-on experience and building expertise in investment strategies, client advisory, and protection solutions.
Responsibilities
During the rotations, you will:
DPM Rotation:
Support portfolio managers in implementing discretionary mandates.
- Assist in monitoring investment strategies, asset allocation, and risk management.
Contribute to reporting and performance analysis for client portfolios.
Advisory Rotation:
Collaborate with advisory teams to design tailored investment solutions for clients.
- Participate in product governance, suitability checks, and regulatory compliance processes.
Prepare client presentations and market updates.
Insurance Rotation:
Work with insurance specialists to integrate protection solutions into client portfolios.
- Manage relationships with insurance partners and support distribution agreements.
- Advise client-facing teams on life insurance products and regulatory requirements.
To be eligible for the 2026 Graduate Programme, you must:
- Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st January 2025 and 31st July 2026.
- Be able to start full time work in July 2026, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.
- Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience (excluding internships).
Skills
- Recent graduate with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent Italian, Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Being proficient in Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
- Interest in wealth management, investment products, and insurance solutions.
