Role Overview

We are seeking a
Regional Trade Integration & Policy Consultant
to support structured research, policy analysis, and infrastructure strategy development. The role focuses on European and Mediterranean trade dynamics, and supports advisory work that addresses logistics modernization, customs harmonization, and multimodal trade infrastructure planning.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in trade governance, EU integration policy, or cross-border infrastructure projects, particularly those with exposure to Adriatic, Balkan, or Central European trade routes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy and infrastructure research on regional trade corridors, port systems, and customs modernization
  • Draft reports, technical notes, and policy briefs for governments, DFIs, and institutional clients
  • Analyze trade performance indicators, regulatory frameworks, and logistics investment priorities
  • Map stakeholder ecosystems involved in cross-border trade governance and port strategy
  • Support foresight exercises, benchmarking studies, and scenario development
  • Monitor EU trade and infrastructure initiatives relevant to regional integration and logistics connectivity

Qualifications

  • Degree in International Trade, Public Policy, Infrastructure Planning, or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in policy advisory, infrastructure analytics, or regional economic integration
  • Familiarity with EU regional development mechanisms, TEN-T networks, or Adriatic trade policy is an advantage
  • Strong written and analytical skills, with ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
