DescriptionHere at Amazon we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Manager to join the team and play a critical role in managing the health and safety within the Amazon Fulfilment Centre (FC).ResponsibilitiesManaging the health and safety function at the FC, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.Proactively engaging in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.Providing advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within the designated area of responsibility.Reviewing and auditing arrangements for health & safety management and continuously improving these arrangements where appropriate.Providing strategies to plan and organise work systems to reduce health & safety risks and recommending suitable adaptations to plant, machinery and processes.Ensuring robust reporting regimes are in place for H&S statistics.Providing management information and statistics related to the area of responsibility.Supporting business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced FC environment.Driving behavioural culture change programme across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.Implementation and review of company global safety policies, ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met.About The TeamWorkplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work.Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.Basic QualificationsA Bachelor degree or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) RSPP certified.Relevant experience managing a team.Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation.Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and Italian.Experience operating at all levels of the organization.Experience driving significant change through an operation.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies.Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.Equal Opportunity StatementAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.We make recruiting decisions based on your experience and skills, and value your passion to discover, invent, simplify and build.#J-*****-Ljbffr
