Senior Infrastructure Engineer at PrismaOverview At Prisma, we're redefining how developers work with databases.If you're fascinated by the cutting-edge data infrastructure powering companies like Twitter, Airbnb, and Facebook, but want the agility, ownership, and impact of a fast-moving startup, Prisma is the place for you.Backed by top-tier Silicon Valley investors, our small, distributed team is making advanced database technology accessible to developers everywhere.Our open-source tools are trusted by over 400,000 developers each month, with a thriving community on Discord and GitHub.At the heart of our commercial offerings is Prisma Postgres, our flagship product designed to supercharge PostgreSQL with modern developer workflows, performance optimizations, and seamless scaling.Alongside it, Prisma Accelerate and Studio provide a world-class tool kit for building with data.ResponsibilitiesChoose and deploy a globally distributed configuration store (like etcd, rqlite) for encrypted authentication to enable global routing for Prisma Postgres.Improve automation of our servers with the goal of reducing maintenance overhead and provisioning times.Configure, deploy, monitor, and debug a cutting-edge containerization platform that drives both internal and external tooling and services.Participate in a shared on-call rotation to help ensure reliability of our systems, with an emphasis on fair scheduling, strong tooling, and a culture that values work-life balance.Ideal Candidate Profile8+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, operating large-scale systems with a focus on Linux, networking, and cloud environments.Experience building and scaling resilient distributed systems across bare metal and cloud platforms (AWS, Cloudflare) with strong understanding of systems architecture and reliability patterns.Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar) and automation practices to manage reproducible, scalable environments.High standards for quality, ensuring excellence while balancing pragmatism, purpose, and a strong sense of agency.Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and foster collaboration across teams.Deep expertise in Linux server administration and networking, including provisioning, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and hardening aligned to security best practices.Fluency in Bash and Debian;
