About the jobWe are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our core products international software development team.ResponsibilitiesPartner with product leads and designers to develop reliable and well-tested backend softwareDesign and implementation of new GeoServer / GeoTools featuresPerformance day-by-day bug fixingMinimum qualifications3+ years of experienceGood knowledge of Java EnterpriseGood knowledge of Spring FrameworkGood knowledge of relational databases, PostgreSQL is a must, Oracle a plusAbility to adapt and learn new skills quicklyBeing fluent in English, both written and spoken.Preferred qualificationsExperience in designing and implementing scalable systems for highly concurrent loadsKnowledge of distributed systems and related key technologies is a plus (e.g. Kafka)Knowledge of GeoServer and GeoTools is a plusMore on qualificationsYou are comfortable working independently, while functioning as part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, dialogue, development, learning, and growth.You care about solving big, systemic problems.You look beyond the surface to understand root causes so that you can build long-term solutions for the whole ecosystem.You are a person open to developing new ideas and contributing expertise, who enjoys challenges, seeks knowledge, and are a team builder.You can analyze product requirements, manage tasks and partner with your teammates to meet the deadlines.Benefits / Hiring notesWe offer a variety of contracts but, please, note that our intention is to establish a long-term relationship.We are a remote first company; the ideal candidate should work from a time zone between GMT and GMT+2.Relocation is not requested and no relocation support package is envisioned.Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates that meet the required criteria will be contacted.During the interview process, we will ask the candidate to solve a simple exercise to demonstrate skills and capabilities.#J-*****-Ljbffr
