About Orient ExpressOrient Express embodies refined and nomadic spirit of travel.Its assets portfolio includes experiences such as the The Orient Express carriages, La Dolce Vita train, and luxury hotels in Rome and Venice.Brand undergoing expansion as a joint venture between ACCOR and LVMH.Job TitleSTEWARD / PLONGEUR / LAVAPIATTI (F/M/X)Job DescriptionOur plonge stewards are essential to provide high-quality guest satisfaction.They maintain cleanliness of dishware, equipment, and tools used in restaurants, bars, events, banqueting, SPA, and rooms/suites.Professionalism is crucial to raise standards in all F&B outlets.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.Monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.Ensure cleaning activities of all dishware, cutlery, glasses, pots, and pans according to performance standards.Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, constantly checking if any need re-scrubbing or re-washing.Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue; sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware.Ensure cleaned wares are stored in appropriate areas and dispose of glass in proper containers, following quality procedures.Wash and disinfect kitchen and other department areas, tables, tools, knives, bins and equipment.Support warehouse activities such as receiving deliveries, storing perishables properly, and rotating stock.Maintain proper storage and use of chemicals and detergents.Breakdown dirty bus tubs and manage them according to garbage schedules.Empty and maintain trash cans and dumpster area.Break down cardboard boxes and place recyclables in the recycle bins.Assist in carrying out periodical inventory of operating equipment.Assist with setup of function requests such as plate orders.Follow all hotel policies, procedures and service standards, including HACCP and health & safety procedures.Attend training courses.QualificationsThorough understanding of cleaning procedures, use of dishwashing machines and appropriate chemicals.Clear understanding of HACCP procedures and their purpose.Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures.Good communication skills.Strong attention to detail and organization skills.Knowledge of hotel restaurants' quality standards.Flexibility, adaptability and ability to work under pressure while maintaining timelines and quality.Good knowledge of Italian; English confidence is a plus.Legal right to work in Italy.Seniority LevelEntry levelEmployment TypeTemporaryJob FunctionOtherIndustriesHospitalityLocationRome, Latium, Italy#J-*****-Ljbffr
