EIB Trainee – Information Systems Directorate – Network & Data Centres Unit – based in LuxembourgThis position is based at the EIB Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence.It offers an opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment.Duration:5 months (fixed)Start date:1st March/April **** (possible extension up to 6 months if required by University).Eligibility:Only applications from nationals of EU Member States or EU candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine) are considered.Candidates whose Erasmus+ programme overlaps with the traineeship will not be considered.Only the first three applications per candidate will be reviewed.Objective of the traineeship:Contribute to ongoing projects for the Network and Data Centre Unit with emphasis on: MPLS lines for EIB external offices; new building design wireless migration; update schema and documentation; improve existing templates; design automation scripts.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in meetings to understand design decisions.Review documents and propose comments.Get acquainted with new technologies (on-prem and cloud).Prepare new hardware based on procedures and templates.Update monitoring system after installation of new equipment.Update related documentation after new installations.Follow functional mailbox and organize incoming communication.Use EIB internal tools like ticketing system and document repository.Academic Qualifications and Professional SkillsFinal year of studies or university degree in computer science or related disciplines.Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English; knowledge of another EU language is an advantage.Advantageous: Cisco CCNA studies or certification; experience or courses in cloud technologies; network vendor courses or experience; automation or scripting/programming language experience.By applying you acknowledge the importance of maintaining the security and integrity of EIB Group information and agree to comply with its security policies.We are an equal-opportunity employer and encourage all suitably qualified candidates to apply regardless of gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability or neurodiversity.Applicants with specific needs may request reasonable accommodations during recruitment.Your application may be used for another campaign.Deadline for application is November 18th, ****.More information on the EIB Traineeship Programme and provisions for in-service training can be consulted on the EIB website:#J-*****-Ljbffr
