Openshift Consultant

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Open Shift Consultant to join us in Rome, Italy.In this role, you will help our customers create possibilities, solve problems, and build strong working relationships.You'll explain the benefits of Red Hat's cloud solutions and gain a deep understanding of our customers' infrastructure and business needs.As a consultant, you'll work closely with customers on specific initiatives, including the architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Red Hat's cloud and container solutions, such as Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform, Kubernetes-based technologies, or Open Stack.You'll need excellent technical skills and solid communication and customer service skills.We don't expect you to know everything on day one, but your ability to learn new technologies quickly is essential.**What you will do:*** Assess, design, and implement key Red Hat offerings, including Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform, Ansible Tower, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Open Shift Container Storage, Open Stack, and Kubernetes-based technologies.* Implement automated and containerized cloud application platform solutions, with a focus on infrastructure issues like networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resiliency.* Learn new technologies quickly, including container orchestration, registries, build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks.* Serve as a subject matter expert on-site, addressing technical, development, or IT strategic needs.* Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open-source solutions.* Adapt to changing customer demands and professionally respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions.* Deliver quality results on-site and post-engagement within the assigned project timeline and scope.* Participate in sales and proposal presentations as needed.**What You will bring:*** 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative.* 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Docker, or other container-related technologies and Paa S.* 2+ years of scripting or programming experience.* Knowledge of systems management, including installation, custom channels, virtualized system deployment, basic client-based security, and repositories.Bonus Points for:* Proven experience with Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform, Ansible Tower, Open Stack, and other Red Hat products.* Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices (Agile, Waterfall, Incremental).* An Agile and Dev Ops mindset and a willingness to learn agile practices.* Red Hat certifications.* Fluency in Italian and the ability to communicate and write in English in an international environment.The role is remote but requires occasional travel to customer sites.#LI-MR3is the world's leading provider of enterprise software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.Spread across 40+ countries, our associates work flexibly across work environments, from in-office, to office-flex, to fully remote, depending on the requirements of their role.Red Hatters are encouraged to bring their best ideas, no matter their title or tenure.We're a leader in open source because of our open and inclusive environment.We hire creative, passionate people ready to contribute their ideas, help solve complex problems, and make an impact.At Red Hat, our commitment to open source extends beyond technology into virtually everything we do.We collaborate and share ideas, create inclusive communities, and welcome diverse perspectives from all Red Hatters, no matter their role.It's what makes us who we are.Some of the most knowledgeable and passionate people in the technology industry work here.Whether we're building software, championing our products, or training new associates, we're collaborating openly to make a difference in the world of open source and beyond.#J-*****-Ljbffr
