Senior Hardware Engineer

The candidate will be responsible for autonomously creating hardware devices, according to the experience gained, documenting their progress according to the directives received. More specifically, the candidate will be assigned the following responsibilities:• Planning, design, layout, prototyping and development of hardware devices mainly in the automotive field.• Collaboration in the management of the collection of new implementation requests, contributing to the definition of the road-map for their implementation and production.• Drafting of documentation to support the developed projects.• Testing, trial and training activities on the same.• Support to identify and resolve any malfunctions.The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Electronics.• Thorough and applied knowledge of CAD tools for electronic design such as Altium Designer.• Thorough knowledge of systems based on microprocessors, microcontrollers and communication interfaces (I2C, CAN, USB, SPI, UART, etc).• In-depth knowledge of embedded Unix/Linux work environments and firmware/driver management.• Experience in using new generation wireless communication systems.• Experience in the use of laboratory instruments for measurements, tests, component characterization, etc.• At least 8 years of significant experience in the role gained in structured projects.• Excellent knowledge of automotive and telecommunications.The ideal candidate will have a propensity for teamwork by collaborating within a research and development group.
