Senior Data Governance ConsultantLocation:Italy (Hybrid)Salary:DOEContract Type:Full-time - PermanentSenior Data Governance Consultant – Italy (Hybrid)Join a Leading Digital Transformation ConsultancyThe OpportunityOur client is a global consulting firm with over 500 specialists across Data & AI, Cloud, and Digital Platforms.They deliver cutting-edge, end-to-end solutions that help organisations accelerate their digital transformation.As aSenior Data Governance Consultant, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing robust data governance frameworks.You'll define structures, processes, and tools; support clients through launch and implementation; and help them embed best practices across the business.Your BackgroundYou'll bring 6+ years' experience across Data Governance, ideally with exposure to large-scale transformation or enterprise data environments.You should have a strong technical grounding in data integration, data quality, metadata management, and master data management, as well as practical knowledge of both traditional and Big Data ecosystems.Key RequirementsProven experience in Data Governance projects, including Data Quality, KQI, Business Glossary, Data Catalogues, Metadata Management, Privacy & Security, Master Data Management, and Data Lineage.Knowledge of key Data Governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA, ISACA, DGI).Familiarity with leading governance and data management tools.Experience designing and implementing processes, standards, and operating procedures.Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to translate business needs into governance strategy.Capability to define data-driven transformation programmes including strategy, organisation, roles, and roadmaps.Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions.Project Management experience within complex, cross-functional initiatives.Nice to HaveUnderstanding of Solvency II, GDPR, and BCBS regulations.Hands-on experience with Data Governance / MDM platforms such as IBM, Informatica, SAS, SAP, Collibra, or Talend.Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT, and data integration tools (Informatica, ODI, DataStage, etc.).Relevant certifications such as CDMP, CIMP, or DAMA.Experience leading teams within large enterprise data environments.Soft SkillsStrong consulting presence and client-facing communication.Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Collaborative, adaptable, and delivery-focused mindset.Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities.Willingness to travel as required within Italy and internationally.What's on OfferHybrid working model with flexible scheduling and genuine work–life balance.Continuous learning and professional development through hundreds of available training courses.Comprehensive health and welfare benefits.Supportive and inclusive company culture with strong values and ethics.Excellent career progression in one of Europe's most respected digital transformation consultancies.Location:Italy (Milan, Rome, or hybrid remote)Contract:Full-time, permanentIf you're passionate about Data Governance and ready to make an impact with a top-tier digital consultancy, we'd love to hear from you.
