Product Engineer

Position SummaryWe are looking for engineering graduates (Master/Bechelor Degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent) to join our Product Engineering department.With the role of Product Engineer , the position will be based at Dana Italia srl, located in Crescentino (VC) .Direct report to : Engineering Manager or Product LeaderMain ResponsibilitiesHandle all the technical aspects, especially related to design and support, of Drivetrain Components (Driveshaft, Double-U Joint, etc..) across the whole lifecycle:Concept development, feasibility study and design analysis of new products;Review and support product design and contribute to the validation activities (definition of test and/or validation programs);Analyze and support application process and approval; handle prototype, production release and implementation;Support the process optimization and implementation, with particular focus on analysis and calculation approach finalized to product design;Work in cooperation with other functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods, process and product improvements;Work together with other Functions (product verification & validation engineers, manufacturing/process engineers, suppliers, purchasing, analysts) to assure the product launch;Support and Manage, if necessary, written and technical communication (including professional presentations) to customers.Job Position RequirementsEducation: Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.Professional background: Nice to have: 3 - 5 years of professional experience in the Industrial sector working on the development of complex mechanical systems : previous experience in design & development of powertrain system will be appreciated.Hard skills:Good knowledge of standard approaches and methods for the design and validation of mechanical components.Knowledge of standard tools used to size mechanical components/systems under different point of view: functional, performance, endurance, etc..Be familiar with industrial process (stage gate) adopted for the project development, from the feasibility study to product phase-out will be a plus.Foreign languages:English , upper intermediate (B2) level as minimum for both spoken and written.Others language will be appreciated.IT skills:High computer's skills in Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite and internet.Good knowledge of CAD tools (PTC Creo is preferred) and/or CAE tools.Knowledge of PLM (TeamCenter) tools is considered as a plus.Other SkillsContinuous improvement oriented-actively proposes process improvements; champion and drives change initiatives under his/her responsibility areaAble to manage prioritiesProactive with high interpersonal, communication and organization skills.Available to travel, if necessary, on medium (European) and long (Intercontinental) range for duration from 1 week to 1 month.If you are not contacted within 60 days after your application, the search should be considered filled.In compliance with law obligations and GDPR, your application could be considered for further opportunities aligned with you profileWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.Unsolicited Resumes from Third-Party RecruitersPlease note that as per Dana policy, we do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters unless such recruiters were engaged to provide candidates for a specified opening.Any employment agency, person or entity that submits an unsolicited resume does so with the understanding that Dana will have the right to hire that applicant at its discretion without any fee owed to the submitting employment agency, person or entity.#J-*****-Ljbffr
