Topcon Positioning Group is headquartered in Livermore, California, USA (topconpositioning.com).We design, manufacture and distribute productivity tools for developing a brighter future.Whether cultivating the earth or building upon it, Topcon brings innovation in workflow automation and seamless connectivity of data to construction, Geopositioning and agriculture industries focused on developing a sustainable tomorrow.Senior Software Engineer, 3D Engine DevelopmentEmployment Type:Full-timeJob PurposeAs part of the company development strategy we need to grow talent in specific areas needed to continue development of our software products.The Senior Software Engineer will work on cross-platform 3D engine.Implement new features and fix defects.Participate in the full life cycle development of MAGNET products and deliver source code.Core Job ResponsibilitiesCross-platform C++ development of 3D engine for Windows, Android, iOS, Linux.Primary development on Windows, but the application also runs on other platforms (Android, iOS, Linux).Analyzing requirements, clarifying tasks, proposing optimal solutions, and estimating workload.Work with the project manager and software team to plan and manage delivery schedules.Follow and implement software processes.Attend team meetings and functions.Education & ExperienceUniversity degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.Solid professional experience in C++ development of 3D graphics with DirectX11/OpenGL.Experience writing HLSL/GLSL shaders.Overall software development experience for at least 5 years.Experience in software development process implementation.Experience with software development tools (configuration management, design, debugging, compilers, testing, etc.).Experience with GNSS and/or Optical Survey will be a plus.Experience with software development for Android will be a plus.Additional (Preferred) RequirementsKnowledge of SQLite and experience with databases (design and queries).Experience in cross-platform application development and GUI frameworks.3D graphics/geometry programming experience is a plus.Experience with MFC/Visual Studio.Knowledge of Java and experience in native iOS/Android APIs and development.Experience in development tools, version control, and code quality control.Experience in software architecture design and design patterns.A good command (both written and spoken) of the ENGLISH language is required for the job.Working ConditionsWe offer a hybrid and flexible work setup that promotes both in-person collaboration and individual focus:• Remote work (Smart Working): Available for the remaining days to support productivity and work-life balance.How to ApplyWe'd love to hear from youPlease send us your application, and let us know the earliest date you could join our team.#J-*****-Ljbffr
