We are seeking a high-energy, innovative R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our team developing next-generation medical devices for organ transport. Your work will directly influence clinical outcomes and help shape the future of organ transplantation.This is a unique chance to work on meaningful, high-impact technology in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary environment.What You'll DoLead the mechanical design and development of advanced medical devices, from concept to industrialization.Collaborate with clinical specialists, electronics engineers, and regulatory experts to ensure products meet real-world medical needs.Create 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation using professional CAD tools.Build and test prototypes, run performance evaluations, and refine designs based on analytical results.Participate in risk analysis, verification, and validation activities in compliance with medical device standards (ISO *****, ISO *****).Support the creation of regulatory documentation for CE marking and FDA submissions.Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth design transfer and manufacturability.Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in organ transport and preservation.What You BringBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in R&D for medical devices (experience in organ transport or life-science applications is a plus).Strong proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of medical device regulations (ISO *****, MDR, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Job DetailsLocation: On-site at the customer facility in MirandolaContract Type: FreelanceRemote Work: Not availableTravel: Not requiredEquipment: PC providedLanguages: ItalianSensitive Data: Not processedFreelancers are welcome, and external platforms (e.g., Freelancer) may be used for engagement.
