Finance Sr.Business Partner Petcare ItalyGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.HR at Mars - South Europe Talent Acquisition Partner presso MarsAbout Mars, IncorporatedMars is a family-owned business with more than a century of history making diverse products and offering services for people and the pets people love.With almost $45 billion in sales, the company is a global business that produces some of the world's best-loved brands: M&M's®, SNICKERS®, TWIX®, MILKY WAY®, DOVE®, PEDIGREE®, ROYAL CANIN®, WHISKAS®, EXTRA®, ORBIT®, 5TM, SKITTLES®, BEN'S ORIGINAL® and MARS DRINKS and COCOAVIA®.Mars also provides veterinary health services that include BANFIELD® Pet Hospitals, Blue Pearl®, VCA® and Pet PartnersTM.Headquartered in McLean, VA, Mars operates in more than 80 countries.The Mars Five Principles – Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom – inspire its more than 100,000 Associates to create value for all its partners and deliver growth they are proud of every day.ITALY PETCARE FINANCE Sr.BUSINESS PARTNERJob Purpose/OverviewIn our ambition to deliver sustainable growth, gain share and creating value,this position will play a critical role for the Italian market in providing financial leadership and decision support for the overall business and respective customer/channel group in line with our business strategies.Along with creating insights on finance performance, the position needs to ensure achievement of units financial KPIs with special attention to revenue part.The role is co-creating business plans, challenging/reviewing assumptions, spotting opportunities & risks and ensure sustainable value creation.This position ensures that customers and internal clients are respecting the policies and terms of sale established by the various business units and that trade fund investments are utilized as effectively as possible through the reduction of non-working spends.This Senior Market BP role will be expected to A:act as a catalyst for change by changing perspective, bringing the outside in and framing the issue;B:being a strategic investor by providing holistic and innovative insights, displaying forward looking and long-term analyses, anchoring an ROI mindset in the organization;C:be the key point of contact for One Demand and Sales teams for the Petcare category;D:be modern to the times by empowering users with digital tools, working cross functions, and visualizing data & story telling in an engaging way.This role is one of the feeder roles to the Cluster Finance Director position.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance business partner for respective customer group/channel – as such supporting the definition of customer strategy and achieving targets set within operational plan/3 yrs value creation plan.Partner with regional Customer/Channel teams and Centers of Excellence in the process of strategies and plans definitionMember of the Customer/Channel Management Team, accountable with the Customer/Channel Business Director for the delivery, ownership and execution of the Operating PlanDevelop strategic partnership with the Customer Business Director through spending time in the market to understand the competitive landscape, uncover opportunities for growth, further understand the customer and strengthen the relationship with the Customer teamSupport in the preparation of annual trade negotiations and customer business plans for respective customer group/channel in coordination with regional Customer teamsInfluence sales and customers to recommend process improvements for the mutual benefit of all parties and to allow for the best use of trade fundsSupport in ad-hoc activities and customer individual offers via financial evaluation and recommendations for respective customer group/channelEnsure, that the trade budget of the respective customer group/channel is managed accurately and at appropriate level of detail in the Trade Budget Systems;
