Mission DetailsWe are seeking a Scientist to work on innovation, product development and optimization of our lamination adhesives product range in Europe.PhD Chemist with 8-10 years' experience in the adhesive industry, ideally lamination adhesives, and preferably with first leadership experience to manage small R&D teams.The role reports to the European R&D Manager of AP&C Laminating Adhesives and is based in Mozzate (CO).Required ProfileSAFETYActively promotes safe behavior in the Department and takes responsibility for safe lab operations.Actively participates in department safety initiatives and initiates improvements in them.Participates at safety meetings and teamsMentors employees in the Department to practice safe working habits and behaviorsKNOW HOWPhD Chemist with 8-10 years' experience in the adhesive industry, ideally lamination adhesives, and preferably with first leadership experience to manage small R&D teams.Knowledge and experience in the design of polyurethane, polyester and acrylics, preferably around lamination adhesive for flexible food packaging and / or industrial application.Profound understanding about adhesion theory and reaction kinetics, especially related to polyurethane chemistry and polyester.Understands the requirements / challenges for improved sustainability and recyclability of flexible packaging.Good understanding about statistical methods and analysis.Knows, how to apply Design of Experiment techniques.Excellent communication skills & stake holder management.Able to set up new research equipment, plan and execute experimental program.PROBLEM SOLVINGApplies scientific principles to achieve complex project goals.Deals with ambiguity and incomplete data.Organizes and analyzes data to explain conclusions & outcomes to management.Uses internal and external networks to solve problems and to accelerate R&D projects.ACCOUNTABILITYBuild climate of trust and respect.Drives toward results.Demonstrates a proactive approach and a strong solution-oriented attitude.Plans and leads assigned projects and provide monthly progress reports.Applies intellectual property methods to protect and expand the company's interests.Proactively interacts with internal & external stake holders to achieve commercial objectives.Advocates for project resources.LEADERSHIP AND INFLUENCEPlans and leads assigned projects and delivers on agreed milestones.Participates enthusiastically on project teams.Recognizes and respects the importance of diverse viewpoints, which is essential for overcoming project-related obstacles and conflicts.Professionally represents Bostik in interactions with external contacts.Expands and uses internal and external networks through activities outside of immediate project work.Regularly publishes / presents in journal / symposium and communicate with business colleagues related to his / her field of research.#J-*****-Ljbffr
