Sr.Construction Manager, MLZ Data Center ConstructionAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running.As a construction manager, you will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other roles to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while building energy-efficient, cost-effective Amazon Data Centers.Key job responsibilitiesOwn project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or general capital projects.Oversee construction activities and manage the construction lifecycle from bidding to hand-off to operations.Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary construction team, including building services, architectural, electrical, and mechanical engineering disciplines.Act as Amazon's owner's representative on construction sites, interacting with construction trades and general contractors.Interface with partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that directly support our customers.Create construction project scope and request for proposal documents.Negotiate with general contractors, evaluate bids, and drive cost, schedule, and quality performance.Manage construction documentation, submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, and quality scope.Conduct root-cause failure analysis on equipment failures, and support commissioning and integrated system testing.Assist operations in reviewing procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives for installed facilities.Contribute to construction initiatives that improve efficiency and data-center resiliency.Provide constructability reviews for electrical and mechanical designs for new or existing data centers.A day in the lifeThe project site is located in New Carlisle, Indiana.About the teamAmazon values diverse experiences.Even if you do not meet all the preferred qualifications, we encourage you to apply.Whether your career has followed a traditional path or includes alternative experiences, we welcome you.Our inclusive culture fosters learning and curiosity.Employee-led affinity groups and events such as CORE and AmazeCon celebrate diversity and build community.Basic QualificationsBS in Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Management, or equivalent engineering science plus 5+ years of construction experience, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.4+ years of construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.4+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience (RFP, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI/submittal tracking).Preferred QualificationsMS in Construction Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural).7+ years of experience in managing large-scale construction projects.3+ years of experience in data-center system-level architecture and electrical or mechanical engineering principles.Experience designing data centers or critical MEP infrastructure.Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.CompensationThe base pay for this position ranges from $125,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,300/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may also be part of the total compensation package.Equity and BenefitsAmazon is a total-compensation company.In addition to base salary, we offer a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.For more information, please visit our employee-benefits page.Amazon is an equal-opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
