World is building a real human network designed to accelerate people in the age of AI.As bots and autonomous agents reshape the internet, people, institutions, and applications need a trusted way to confirm who is a real human while preserving privacy.Our products make this possible: the Orb verifies real people, World ID proves it privately, and World App enables and distributes the new applications made possible by this technology.Together, they form a new layer for AI internet.We're one of the fastest-growing networks in tech.More than 17 million people across 160 countries have verified with World ID, and we complete over 350,000 verifications each week.World App is already among the most used wallets globally.Developers are integrating World ID to build safer online experiences and create spaces where real people can participate, earn, and be recognized in ways AI simply can't replicate.World was founded in **** and launched globally in ****.We are more than 400 people across hardware, software, AI, cryptography, mobile engineering, and global operations.Our teams come from OpenAI, Tesla, SpaceX, Apple, Google, Stripe, Meta, Coinbase, Palantir and MIT Media Lab.We're backed by leading investors, including a16z, Khosla Ventures, Bain Capital Crypto, Blockchain Capital, Variant, Tiger Global, and Coinbase Ventures, as well as prominent operators and founders across fintech and AI.About The TeamThe Market Operations team oversees the launch strategy, growth, and ongoing management of World across all markets.This team deploys and manages all Orbs worldwide and serves as the primary point of contact for local Operators.Our mission is to effectively onboard active users to World and help build a globally inclusive identity and financial network.About The OpportunityAs our Growth Lead, Italy, you'll play a pivotal role in scaling and maturing World's operations in one of our most strategic markets.You'll manage the day-to-day performance of Italy Operators, drive sustainable user growth, and ensure that all activities meet the highest standards of compliance, trust, and brand reputation.This is both a strategic and operational leadership role.You will collaborate with Market Operations, Legal, Policy, Marketing, and Central Operations to ensure World's Italy activities are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our global vision.You'll serve as the local connector between global priorities and on-the-ground execution — driving performance, enabling collaboration, and building strong relationships across our Operator network and external partners.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the growth and operational performance of World in Italy, ensuring strong Operator execution, compliance, and user experience.Source, onboard, and manage Operators and key partners, maintaining alignment with global standards and Italy regulatory expectations.Oversee location strategy and event approvals for brand activations across Italy.Partner closely with Legal and Policy to ensure full compliance with Italy data protection and financial regulations.Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to design and deliver high-trust, user-centric campaigns.Identify and implement operational best practices to drive efficiency and scalability.Use data and insights to track performance, assess risks, and shape decision-making.Deliver in-person and remote Operator training sessions to maintain operational consistency and quality.About You7+ years of experience in operations, business development, or growth management, ideally within technology, fintech, or high-growth environments.Proven success managing distributed teams or partner networks across multiple sites.Strong understanding of the Italian regulatory and compliance landscape (GDPR, data protection, financial regulation).Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; able to manage high-performing Operator relationships with professionalism and empathy.Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into strategy and action.Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-evolving contexts.Based in Rome and willing to travel across Italy and occasionally within Europe.Scope and Reporting LineScope: National ownership of the Italian market, with a focus on establishing operational excellence, scaling partnerships, and building trust with users and stakeholders.Reporting Line: Reports to the Regional Manager, Western Europe.#J-*****-Ljbffr
