Company DescriptionFounded in Hanover, Germany, in ****, Continental develops cutting-edge technologies and services for the sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods.Merlett Tecnoplastic SpA is a company of Continental, Group Sector ContiTech Industrial Solutions EMEA and is located in Italy.It was acquired by Continental in **** and its core business is the production of thermoplastic hoses and tubes.Job DescriptionThe mission of the position is to plan, coordinate and control all ESH activities in order to meet budget and ESH targets (e.g. optimize fire prevention and environmental protection, maximize employee safety and health as well as plant security).The role also initiates and implements action plans for continuous improvement of all ESH relevant processes.Coordinate all ESH activities for the plant.Align and transform group and BA ESH strategy into action plans and ensure implementation.Contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning).Ensure the achievement of ESH targets according to internal and external customer expectations.Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS methods and training measures.Live and promote the ESH principles and methods (e.g. advise Plant Management on all ESH aspects).Initiate and control investments for ESH equipment (e.g. training materials, external trainings, etc.).Interface with segment, BU or BA functions to gather local ESH requirements, demands and other feedback.Participate in and/or steer global or local ESH related and cross-functional projects.Coordinate safety inspection procedures for new plant installations prior to their start-up.Plan and conduct environmental and safety audits and compliance measures according to standards (i.e. CT management system, SH Corporate).Implement external (e.g. ISO *****, ISO *****, ISO *****) and internal (e.g. ESH management manual, tools, KPIs) ESH standards and legal requirements and provide feedback and input for further development of standards.Follow up on legal regulations and evaluate possible impacts on processes and facilities.Ensure that all legally required permits are applied for in due time and that permit conditions are evaluated and implemented and advise plant management.Check compliance with legal and internal regulations/standards/processes and implement measures together with local authorities.Set up and implement GEMBA walk and related activities with regard to safety issues.Conduct risk analyses (i.e. GRC, environmental protection) and prepare concepts and emergency preparedness plans.Ensure structured root cause analyses of incidents, define and implement sustainable measures.QualificationsUniversity degree, preferably in engineering, natural sciences or related discipline.Alternatively, high school diploma and proof of functional knowledge of occupational safety and environmental protection.Additional Information3 or more years in a leadership position, preferably in operational units with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individuals.Knowledge of Italian language and Italian EHS regulations is MANDATORY.Ready to drive with Continental?Take the first step and fill in the online application.Caronno Pertusella, Lombardy, Italy#J-*****-Ljbffr
