Project Engineer – Rail System EngineeringRINA is recruiting for a Project Engineer in its office in Genoa or Rome, Italy within the Project Engineering Division.MissionThe Project Engineer is responsible for the successful technical execution of high-value and complex projects, ensuring quality and compliance of all technical deliverables.They integrate multidisciplinary technical contributions, meet safety and industry standards, and collaborate with other engineers and subcontractors to deliver on client expectations.Key AccountabilitiesProposal Phase:Coordinate technical assessment and feasibility for proposals; collect and integrate contributions; identify & quantify required skills, resources, and effort.Technical:Ensure projects meet content quality and milestones; oversee all technical work; monitor progress and adjust plans.Technical Team Coordination:Lead the project engineering team, assign tasks, and ensure efficient execution; collaborate with engineers, teams, and subcontractors; coordinate with the Discipline Manager for resource adjustments.Quality Control:Implement and monitor quality control measures; enforce quality assurance processes and proactively address deviations.Compliance and Safety:Ensure adherence to technical regulations, compliance protocols, and safety standards; promptly address compliance and safety concerns.Technical Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate documentation; prepare or coordinate technical reports and presentations.Training and Mentorship:Provide on-the-job technical training and mentorship to junior engineers; foster technical development.Communication:Act as a bridge between technical teams, the Project Manager, and stakeholders; ensure technical issues are well communicated.Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement process improvement opportunities; apply lessons learned from past projects.EducationBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.Qualifications5+ years of experience in technical projects; 1-5 years managing projects using established project management disciplines and methodologies.Applies technical expertise across multiple applications and demonstrates full grasp of related disciplines.Proficiency in quality control and assurance processes.Understanding of System Engineer concepts: designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems across technical domains.Demonstrated ability to manage technical aspects of high-value and large-scale projects.Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, ANSI, IEC).Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical challenges and provide effective solutions.Ability to assess technical risks and proactively address issues before impacting timelines.Proficiency in English.CompetenciesAddress the way – Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way.Build network – Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization.Client intimacy – Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfaction.Earn trust – Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity.Make effective decisions – Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraints.Manage emotions – Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactions.Pioneer change – Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstances.Promote sustainable development – Promote commitment by keeping promises as a role model.Think forward – Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future.About RINARINA is a multinational company providing services in energy, marine, certification, infrastructure & mobility, industry, research & development sectors.We cover the full process of project development, from concept to completion.At RINA, we endeavor to create a work environment where every person is valued and encouraged to develop new ideas.We provide equal employment opportunities and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected and safe from discrimination or harassment of any kind.We are also compliant to the Italian Law n.*****.#J-*****-Ljbffr
