Are you an experienced geotechnical engineer or geologist?Do you want to push the boundaries of your profession and develop your excellence in an open, collaborative and empowering culture?Are you looking for your next challenge?If this sounds like you or you're curious to learn more, this role could be the perfect opportunity.Join our Site Solutions department as a new colleague and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleRamboll Italy is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to join its collaborative team in Italy/Spain.This individual will serve a key function providing the review of technical reports, specifications, plans, designing foundations, retaining walls and other geotechnical aspects of construction.In this role you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally on premier land development projects.Your key responsibilities will be:Preparing and checking engineering designs, technical documents and calculations and supervising the production of design documents for issue to the Client.Organising and coordinating projects from Site Investigation and design feasibility to detailed design including site supervision where required.Development of project controls and monitoring of progress against programmes.Ensuring that designs, assessments and checking of designs are in accordance with the current design standards, codes of practice and best practice.Undertaking a wide range of geotechnical design work fully compliant with Eurocodes.Assisting in the preparation of expressions of interest and tenders including cost estimates.Coordinating the work undertaken by external sub-contractors and design checkers.Project administration reporting to Line Management including monitoring programme delivery, resources and budgets.Development and technical assurance of design including client presentations and reports.Maximising business development opportunities where possible.About youBachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology required;
