OverviewThe Controls Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning and support of controls systems for material handling and automation projects, working both on-site and remotely.We offerCareer DevelopmentCompetitive Compensation and BenefitsPay TransparencyGlobal OpportunitiesLearn More Here:Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver thecontrols aspects of material handling systemsfor Dematic Enhancement, Modernisation and Upgrade projects, in line with specifications, timelines and budgets.Develop, implement and supporthardware and software solutions, including controls design, PLC software and commissioning activities.Provideend-to-end controls solutions, covering electrical design, software design and on-site commissioning.Work effectively onlive customer sites, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while respecting project scope and safety standards.Support fault finding, system investigations andcontrols troubleshootingwhen required.Performsite supervisory dutieson controls projects when necessary.Support theSales teamwith controls-related cost estimates, design concepts and spare parts recommendations.Maintain Dematic's image as ahigh-quality, professional organisation, adopting an honest, proactive and customer-focused approach.Requirements & QualificationsEducation to a minimum ofHNC/HND in Electrical Engineeringor a related discipline.Hands-on experience in a similar role within anautomation-based industry, ideally in automated warehouse or intralogistics environments.Advanced knowledge ofPLCs(Siemens and/or Allen Bradley).Strong understanding offieldbus systems and I/O equipment(e.g. Profibus, Profinet, ASi, TCP/IP).Advanced understanding of controls-related equipment such asbarcode scanners, HMIs and variable frequency drives.Working knowledge ofindustry standards, including theMachinery Directiveand compliance requirements.Experience withCAD tools(AutoCAD, EPLAN) – AutoCAD considered a nice to have.Confident user ofMicrosoft Office tools(Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).Travel & AvailabilityUp to 75% travel within Italyis required, depending on project needs.On-call availabilitymay be required when necessary, with a maximum ofone week per month.#J-*****-Ljbffr
