Job ID: | Amazon Web Services, Inc.Application deadline: Dec 31, ****Would you like to implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve the world's most complex technical problems?Do you have a deep passion and desire to engineer and operate the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure to build a better world for future generations?This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community.We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them.ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the AWS Intelligence team, you will:• Dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue or why a metric is trending in the wrong direction.• Investigate and resolve operational concerns, mitigate or elevate issues in a timely manner.• Identify and eliminate ineffective processes and defects in technical implementations that may affect availability, performance, or maintainability.• Participate in 24/7 shift work, including nights and/or weekends, to support continuous operations.Basic QualificationsHigh school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+1-3 years of experience with Systems Administration in Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris, etc.)1-3 years of experience with Networking (TCP/IP, DNS)1-3 years of experience with Troubleshooting / Support for technical IT issuesCurrent, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with PolygraphPreferred QualificationsExperience with internet fundamentals and cloud computing conceptsExperience with AWS core services, Command Console, or command line interfaceExperience with compute, database and storage conceptsExperience with Virtualization (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor)Experience with security concepts and best practicesExperience with IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network Monitoring / Troubleshooting toolsExperience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applicationsSalary and BenefitsColorado $91,000 - $152,000 annuallyNational $81,900 - $152,000 annuallyAmazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and optional Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
