Company Description Saipem is a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore.Saipem is "One Company" organized into business lines:Asset Based Services ,Drilling ,Energy Carriers ,Offshore Wind ,Sustainable Infrastructures ,Robotics & Industrialized Solutions .Always oriented towards technological innovation, the company's purpose is " Engineering for a sustainable future ".As such Saipem is committed to supporting its clients on the energy transition pathway towards Net Zero, with increasingly digital means, technologies and processes geared for environmental sustainability.Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, it is present in more than50 countriesaround the world and employs about30,000 people of over 130 nationalities .Purpose of the positionAsJLT/VLS Control Room Operator- L1 , you will join our Department/Function VECOP in the business line ABSER conducting the following activities:ResponsibilitiesOn vessels with J-Lay tower, operate the J-Lay tower and all associated equipment, including the Heave compensator, the abandonment/recovery winches and the loading arm.On vessels with VLS systems, operate the VLS and all associated equipment, including carousels and reel hub drives.Under the direction of the 1st Assistant and the Offshore Construction Manager, operate the J-Lay tower and/or the VLS from the control room (or on local consoles where applicable), including operation of all associated equipment, to ensure a safe handling of the product being installed.Within own remit, ensure that the 1st Assistant is kept fully informed of construction status and potential problems, including reporting of any abnormal conditions or lay parameters.Within own remit, report malfunctions and alarms to the mechanical and/or electrical team for verification and intervention as applicable.QualificationsEducation:Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics Technical High School or Professional Diploma.Years of Experience:1-3 years vocational training or related experience to work with basic Instrumentation and control systems to perform troubleshooting, assembly, disassembly, repair, and operation of complex equipment.Languages:Good knowledge of English both written and spoken (at least B1).Technical Knowledge:Proven experience operating instrumentation and control systems; an understanding of how to use and maintain machines and tools; strong safety awareness and work ethic.Availability for offshore rotations is mandatory.What We Can Offer To YouTemporary Contract.Corporate Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance.Our One Saipem Way soft skills model leverages on skills development, career growth, opportunities to innovate through complex challenges by promoting communication and collaboration to achieve common goals.Location: abroad construction vessels.We support your developmentDo you feel you might not fit this role perfectly?If you think you can contribute to our business development in the future, don't hesitate to apply anyway through our spontaneous application form#J-*****-Ljbffr
