As a Senior Product Designer at Smartness, you will own the end-to-end design of key product areas, with a strong focus on Smartchat, our mobile-first chat application. You will translate complex business and product requirements into simple, intuitive user experiences, contributing to a cohesive and scalable design across the Smartness ecosystem.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and key stakeholders, helping define problems, shape solutions, and deliver high-quality, user-centered designs that balance usability, business impact, and technical feasibility. Your ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end product design: own the full design process for SmartChat, from problem framing and research to pixel-perfect UI, handoff, and design iterations, ensuring clarity, usability, and a frictionless experience for both new and existing users. Mobile-first & interaction design: lead the design of a mobile-first chat and messaging experience, ensuring consistency, scalability, and coherence across platforms. Apply strong interaction design principles to real-time and conversational interfaces.
Product thinking & impact: translate complex requirements into intuitive solutions that support business goals and operational needs. Work in ambiguous problem spaces, collaborating with Product Owner to define the right problems before jumping into solutions. Design system & consistency: contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the Smartness design system, ensuring visual and interaction consistency across multiple products and modules, in line with Smartness unification goals. Research & data-informed design: plan and conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations.
Interpret qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions and continuously improve product usability. Collaboration & advocacy: collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Owner, and other stakeholders in fast-moving environments. Advocate for a strong user-centered mindset across cross-functional teams. What Are We Looking For?
Minimum of 4+ years in Product Design, UX Design, or a similar capacity. At least 2 years operating at a senior level, with full ownership of features or product areas (end-to-end). Must have experience with complex B2B SaaS products. Strong foundation in UX, UI, and interaction design, specifically for complex applications.
Experience
in mobile-first and responsive interfaces.
Experience
in designing products involving chat, messaging, or real-time interactions. Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. Advanced proficiency in Figma (including components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping).
Experience
maintaining and scaling design systems. Solid understanding of design handoff, accessibility, and front-end constraints. Familiarity with HTML/CSS concepts and mobile platform patterns (iOS/Android) is a strong advantage (no coding required). Capability to independently plan and execute user research and design validation.
Strong ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to drive design decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with collaboration and documentation tools like FigJam, Confluence, and Jira. Background in hospitality tech, travel tech, property management, or operational platforms is highly desirable.
