Application & Infrastructure Service Engineer (1 year fixed-term contract)Be part of a new era in communications, transforming connectivity with Eutelsat – the world's first GEO-LEO integrated global satellite operator.As a leader in satellite communications, we provide global connectivity solutions, connecting businesses, communities, and governments worldwide.We can connect you on land, at sea and in the air, and deliver broadcast television channels across the globe.You'll Get To:Pioneer the future of Space TechnologyBring connectivity to remote frontiersCollaborate with customer-centric expertsEmbrace cultural diversity in our global teamJob OverviewWe are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Application and Infrastructure Service Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in the management of infrastructure, systems, and applications, ensuring the highest quality of service for our clients.In this position, you'll work closely with operations, system engineering, developers, suppliers, and clients.Who You AreYou are a System Administrator with good knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows environments, capable of working with virtualization and cloud platforms.You possess a solid understanding of networking and security concepts, are comfortable working with scripts and applications, and thrive in dynamic environments.What You'll DoManage internal infrastructure and applicationsDeploy and maintain servers and toolsTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and services issuesDocument activities, procedures, and new deploymentsMonitor and optimize services and infrastructureCollaborate with engineers, developers, operatorsUpgrade systems and apply security patchesWhat You'll NeedBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering, Business, Digital Transformation, or a related fieldExperience with Unix-based operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS)Experience with Microsoft Windows ServerExperience with virtualization environments like VMWare or KVMKnowledge of backup systems such as Veeam or BaculaStrong knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs)Experience or knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS and AzureProficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash, Java)Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFluent in English; knowledge of French is a preferable assetWhere You'll WorkSeniority level: Entry level.Employment type: Temporary.Industry: Telecommunications.#J-*****-Ljbffr
