Founded in ****, RENEWCAST builds precision wind & solar forecasting software using cutting-edge ML to deliver accurate, scalable, and cost-efficient predictions.After recent investment rounds, we are expanding our senior technical team to strengthen the data foundation behind our forecasts.We value clarity, alignment, and smooth collaboration across technical and business teams — everyone understands not just what we build, but why.Your RoleHelp build and maintain the data pipelines that — power our forecasts.You'll work on ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and feature delivery across multiple data sources and schedules — collaborating closely with senior engineers for architecture and standards.This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll gain exposure to advanced workflows (xarray/Zarr/Dask, asset-first orchestration) while growing toward senior-level ownership.What You Will DoBuild and maintain data pipelines from raw weather & production data to curated features;Develop batch ELT workflows; contribute to real-time ingestion when needed;Work within modern orchestrators (Airflow v3 preferred, Dagster, Prefect);Implement basic observability (metrics, logs, alerts) and contribute to performance improvements;Contribute to documentation, internal standards, and knowledge sharing;Learn the tensor-first stack (xarray, Zarr, Dask) and apply it with mentorship from seniors.Must-Have Skills3+ years of experience in Data Engineering;Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP) and basic CI/CD workflows;Good engineering hygiene: versioning, testing, observability, reliability mindset;Ability to own well-defined pipeline components and collaborate effectively.Bonus PointsExperience with orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster/Prefect or similar);Experience with scientific formats or tensorial data processing;Familiarity with distributed compute frameworks;Basic understanding of Kubernetes/Terraform;Exposure to streaming systems (Kafka, Pulsar);Experience with data quality, metadata, or lineage tools.How we workWe value autonomy, clarity, and strong communication.Engineers see the full context of decisions, not just tickets.You'll work closely with senior engineers who provide mentorship and guide architectural choices while giving you room to grow.What Success Looks LikeYou independently own pipeline components end-to-end.Pipelines acquaint reliable, observable, and cost-efficient through your work.You demonstrate growing architectural judgment and readiness for senior-level scope.The team moves faster and more confidently thanks to your contributions.What We OfferPath to become a Senior Data Engineer;Competitive compensation;Hybrid flexibility; offices in Tallinn and Rome;High-ownership work environment with visibility to leadership.#J-*****-Ljbffr
